In its deepest root, the word TANAVATA descends from the Sanskrit तनु (tanu) — meaning thread, that which stretches, extends, becomes — and वती (vatī), as in Sarasvatī, meaning she who embodies, she who upholds the principle.
Thus: तनु + वती → Tanuvatī → “She who extends the living thread (mtDNA)”
Most importantly – mtDNA is the battery, the core of vitality, in that it converts and stores the energy upon which all human life hinges.
